As most of you already know, a couple of months ago we started a new feature called One Look/Three Ways. The idea is that you send our designers some pictures they will design a layout for you using your pictures. Each designer will create a layout for you and you will receive the layouts for viewing via email. You can pick your favorite one and that layout will be mailed to you.
You will know ahead of time which designers will be participating so that you can choose when to participate based on the styles of the designers. If you wish to participate, please let us know by October 20, 2004. This will also give us time to create the layouts before they are featured in the November newsletter. If you are interested in participating please send an email to: onelook@theshakerbox.com and include the follow information:
Name
Shaker Box User Name
Size you scrap in
Favorite colors
The Designers for October to be showcased in the November Newsletter are:
Kathaemert – Karen Thaemert
Michele C. - Michele Ciola
Mickey – Michelle McGowan
If you are chosen you will be notified by email.

Intern Participants!
Our Design Team Intern program is in full swing and we currently have 3 members participating! Sharon Ruth, Anne Marie Zimmerer and Rhonda Palmer have been in the program for a few months and they have already made themselves an integral part of The Shaker Box! We would like to introduce our wonderful interns to you! Learn more about them and don't forget to visit their galleries for inspiration!
Sharon Ruth
Greetings fellow scrapbookers! My name is Sharon and I am happily married to my best friend. We have five children: four boys and a girl (yes, I kept trying until I got the girl… and I must say, she was worth it!) I am a SAHM (what else? - never could afford daycare for all those kids!) who homeschools and loves to scrapbook. I've always loved taking pictures, but didn't get into serious scrapping until 1999 when I went to a Creative Memories party at a friend's house. Now, I scrap whenever I have a free minute (literally).
Everyone in my family loves to look through my albums and it makes me so happy to be able to leave these precious memories to my kids (and so on) in a meaningful way. I was thrilled when I was invited to be an intern on The Shaker Box website. It's a chance to develop more of my own distinct style under the guidance of someone I respect.
The last 3 months or so have been not only a great deal of fun, as I interact on the site with some wonderful people, and receive some fantastict scrapbooking supplies to utilize, but also a great learning experience. There is so much to learn and glean from these talented people. I'm so honored that I was given this unique opportunity. I'm very excited to see how this program develops and I'm proud that I was given the chance to be one of the first interns on the site.

Anne Marie Zimmerer
My husband, Jeff, and I live in Texas where the summers are long and the winters are short. We have been blessed with two beautiful children who are the main subjects of my layouts. We also have two horses, that I have actually had since I was 13. I have always collected bits and pieces of my life to share and now enjoy adding these items to my scrapbooks. I have several 12x12 books in the works for my girls and hope to go back and do a book of my travels to Spain and redo my father's childhood scrapbook. (yep, I come from a line of scrapbookers!) In the meantime I put myself into my girls' books through journaling. I think the girls will get to know me by that.
My style changes with photos, my mood and materials at my fingertips. I can go from streamlined clean and simple to collage. I get inspiration from so many places- galleries, scrapbook magazines, advertisements and art work. I love taking pictures of everyday life, special events, as well as, learning the art of portrait photography. From these photos my family will see how much I truly love being a stay at home mom- being on the front row of the firsts. I find a peace of mind when I scrap - things just come into focus as I put photos, materials and words together.
I am very proud and honored to be a part of a new program - The Shaker Box Internship. In this I have made new friends, have been encouraged to step outside of my box to try new techniques, sketches and challenges. Each week is something new for me to try to enhance my scrapbooking whether it be in photography, design, or elements.

Rhonda Palmer
Hello from the sunflower state, Kansas . I am Rhonda Palmer, an intern here at The Shaker Box. Scrapbooking is my passion and obsession. I started scrapping in January 2000. My sister-in-law introduced me to it and I am so glad she did! I like to try all techniques and styles. I am totally addicted to paper. I can't live without my ruler and glue dots. My other hobbies are: photography, card making, reading, crocheting and some good comedy on tv to relax.
My time here as an intern has been wonderful. I have met some great gals. The challenges and sketches really get your motivated to scrap. There are a lot of talented gals here. I learn something from someone each day I log on. I am so proud to be a part of The Shaker Box Intern Team.
