The scrapbooking industry and community is all a buzz with many new products being introduced at ACCI (Association of Crafts & Creative Industries) . ACCI is an annual trade show event in which manufacturers display their products for retailers to see and purchase. While I can not list all of the products introduced, I would like to share a few of the new and exciting ones with you as well as introduce a couple new manufacturers to the industry.

SEI - let's start with the wonderful new products and their introduction of 5 brand new lines in addition to new albums and rub-ons. At ACCI, SEI launched their biggest release of new products in their history at the show. There are five new lines of coordinating paper and embellishments: “Hippie Chick”, "Beachouse", “Granny's Kitchen”, “Seasoned”, and “Sugar”. They also introduced new embellishments like brads, ribbons, coasters, and colored rub-ons to match these new lines. Plus, their new albums coordinate with the lines and are now in four new sizes: 12x12, 11x8½ , 8x8, and 6x6!!

American Traditional has a great new look! They are coming out with all new lines of paper, charms, metal templates, rub ons, and stickers! They have lines like Woodlands, Moments, Beach and Baby, plus several others. The charms are too die for! They have matching sets for each theme-so you never have to search for that perfect embellishment or paper again!

American Traditional - Woodland

Junkitz have the cutest new letter buttons, rub ons, license plates, zipper pulls and swatches. They have a new alphabet - Collectionz alphabetz, that is so versatile! They come in two tones with many colors to choose from! Their Expression rub ons are one of my favorites. They are colored and come with sayings for Fall, Summer, Baby and even Birthday.! For all of the embellishment junkies out there - Junkitz are the BEST!

K & Company has come out with some really great stuff for ACCI! They have taken a new turn with their look, and gone with brighter colors! They have rub on letters and sayings, clearly yours stickers, alphabet tags, label words, word bookplates(you have got to see these), string clasps, circle tags in great new colors, and matching papers, that are all a must have!

Basic Grey is a new name on the scrapbooking circuit. They have some really great papers out! You can buy them in whole packages or single sheets. They have some terrific patterns, and their distressed looking papers are the best. They have quite a selection of styles and colors.

Look for these companies to make a hot entrance to your favorite store soon. Also, don't forget to check next month's newsletter for more great reviews!

MISTY POSEY!

Misty hails from Alabama and has been scrapbooking for two years now. She was introduced to the art by a penpal of hers and she was hooked forever! Misty states, "One of my penpals from Texas mentioned scrapbooking to me and she really got me started in it. I still have a few penpals, but I dropped all of it and started spending my money on scrapping supplies instead of postage! To think I thought POSTAGE was expensive, boy was I wrong."

Misty's layouts are a fabulous blend of collage and shabby chic. She is very much into the inking technique right now giving her work added dimension and style! Visit her gallery to be inspired by the richness of her layouts. One thing we can really appreciate about Misty's style is that she is not afraid to use color. In fact Misty has said she doesn't have a favorite color she just uses all of them! Bravo Misty! Scrapping at home on the dining room table with the radio on is Misty's layout creating sanctuary! We all need that perfect space to ourselves and it look like Misty has found it!

When asked about her biggest accomplishments, Misty explained, "I'd have to say, getting the guts to send off for the Memory Makers Masters contest! Seems I find it hard to sign up for the big contests. I didn't get the nerve up to do the CK HOF or the PK Power Team, but I finally did it for the MM Masters."

Thank you Misty for joining our community and we look forward to seeing some more of your wonderful layouts!

Please visit Misty's gallery today to truly be inspired.
