We may have a new name but the feature remains the same!!! Michelle (TwistedSoda) is our Your Photos//3 Ways participant for February! She sent us wonderful pictures of her and her friend having a very relaxing day over the finest cappacino! The pictures were just beautiful and the ladies had a great time creating the layouts!

Michelle has made her choice and had this to say about each layout:

"Wow, those are all so awesome...I love them all.  I am going to have to choose one that is way out of my style.  And it completely blew me away.  I really loved them all. Thanks for letting me play this! ."

" I loved the tag and vellum slot.  Also the way that the layout focused on two pictures and not just the one that is mostly seen in layouts with the smaller ones as accents."

"I gotta say I love that pink geometric paper and those ribbons and leather flower were a perfect accent.  That little saying in the right hand corner was fabulous.  ."

"I rarely use buttons on anything and this one made me want to go out and start collecting those too!  Beautiful."

Final Pic!:

"They were all so good that I had trouble picking them so I sent them to my buddy in the picture and we both put on our thinking caps...over a cup of espresso too!!! I am going to have to choose the Cappicino Sunshine and friendship.  I rarely use buttons on anything and this one made me want to go out and start collecting those too!  Beautiful."

Thanks to Michelle for participating. We will mail your layout shortly!

Making a Paper Bag Book

When I first learned you could make a book out of a paper bag, I thought to myself how difficult that must be! I'm not one for following directions precisely so I have to admit, I was most hesitant in working with this creative project. However, much to my amazement, it was a very simple process as well as loads of fun. So if you have been putting off making one of these very versatile and inexpensive mini-albums, please read this article and start having fun with those grocery bags!!!

Materials:
Brown paper bag - grocery style
Adhesive
Bone Folder
Scissors
Paper and Embellishments to decorate

To begin, make sure you have ample room to work with as you will eventually be spreading the paper bag out flat taking up a bit of room. Also working with the bag tends to be a little noisy so if your little one is sleeping in the next room, you might want to hold off until later.

After you have your tools assembled, just follow these steps:

1) Simply pull apart the main seam of the bag running down the middle and down into the reinforced bottom until you have the bag completely opened. It will look like a giant rectangle when you have completed this step.

2) Next, trim any edges that frayed or have glue still attached from opening the bag. Don't worry about cutting too much or too little during this process because you will be folding to find the centers of the bag later on. This will ensure a nice neat edge after the booklet is constructed.

3) Fold the bag from the left to right so that the edges meet and corners are lined perfectly. Crease the middle vertically with the bone folder.

4) Open the bag and continue to fold it top to bottom being sure to line up the corners as well and crease the fold horizontally. This will locate your center lines for you.

5) While still folded, fold the top portion back to meet the middle crease once again - repeat on other side.

6) Unfold the sections above, so that you are back to the folded position in number 3. Now it is time to get your scissors and cut along the crease from the middle fold horizontally to the first crease mark. This cut will eventually make the opening for the book to wrap around.

7) Next stand the bag up so the cut part is on top. Gently push the ends together to make the opening larger. You will see the sides beginning to come out to make the additional pages. Continue until the ends meet.

8) Wrap the ends around so the corners meet and crease all folds once again withe bone folder.

Voila! You have a wonderful paper bag book to decorate!
