I never thought much about “time.” Then, the call came. I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My world was spinning out of control. I was the mother of two young children. How will I possibly have enough time to do everything I want to do with them?
Time.
Time became a whirlwind of memories and dreams. Where had the time gone, and what would I do with the time I had left?
What I’ve learned, is not to fight time. As in the story of Don Quijote, it is a battle that could drive one insane. What I realize, is how precious time is. Every instant… past, present, and future needs to be cherished.
Love and be loved.
Give and take.
Find peace.
Be happy.
Help others.
Take chances.
I know if I live my life this way, time will be plentiful. I’ll have time for everything that truly matters… and when my time comes, whether it be five years or fifty-five, I’ll be ready.
