Journaling: Orie Annie Dukeis the daughter of Lewis Henry Duke b. 21 May 1854 in Warren Co. N.Co and Emmie Arminda Vance Duke b. 20 November 1855 in Muhlenburg, Ky. She is a decendat of John Duke of Isle who died before 1689. Her silbings included Datha Duke b. 9 oct 1878 Ballard co. Ky. Emmie Agnus Duke (my great grandmother) b 21 Jan 1889, Mamie Ellen Duke b 7 April 1884, Ballard col Ky. Lewis LEna Duke b. 23 Novermber 1891 Ballard co. Ky. Orie Duke married Timothy Dew b. 1879, Ky. ONe of the names of the children was Leonard Dew b 4 Dec. 1906 Ballard co. Ky. The author of the is scrapbook page, Lana Bisson, b. Feb 11 1964 is a dencendant of Orie Annie Duke. She was my Great Granmothers Emmmie Agnus Duke-MOrris's sister. I have scanned the image of Ories's handmaded doily's It was found in a stash of my Grandmothers Ruth Erwin Morris -Rudolphs's quilt scraps and sewing items. We knew it was either from aunt orie or Datha. Since Orie was always sending handmade items to Grandmother Emmie, we figure this was made by her.
Fun ideas tips and tricks: I scanned the actual Doily made by aunt Orie and used it to collage the background. ONe Fun thing to do is use crystal effects (stampin up) its a dimensional laquer-glue that adds 3-d look. I used copper wire around the rub-on letters, (wrap wire around pencil, slide off and snip them into jump rings. straighten them and fill them with dimensional glue over the alphabets. I also added the cystal effects to the hand cut roses and butterflys. I always take old photos and make them flip open to add more pics or journaling. Another fun tip, take two mini tags, place them either end behind a plackard, and you have a victorian label. I torn the edges of jounaled and inked the eges.

Creative lettering idea: cutting up the paper pizzaz and making little tied gingham bows.
Other: Offray ribbon border, and tied bows. Wire-stampin up Rub-ons Royal langnickle, crystal effects-stampin up,stamps and buttons cut from collage paper(Provocraft) Vintage brads-stampin up.
My own designs: The roses are handcut from collage paper, (provocraft) and spread out like decopauge
