Journaling:
After seeing Stow-on-the-Wold, we headed up to Stoke-on-Trent. it was merely a halfway point to the Lake District, but we managed to make it to the famous Wedgewood factory. We spent the night in a Holiday Inn after a grueling search for dinner. Up early and back on the road to the Lake District. We made a couple of pit-stops...one with a magnificent view in Hest Bank overlooking Morecambe Bay (which leads to the Irish Sea). It was extremely windy and we were able to find a coffee shop nearby to warm up.
