Lynn (20 something) hails from Woodstock, Georgia and says she is close enough to the big city of Atlanta and yet far enough away to still feel a little bit country for her. She has worked for the same company for twenty years:, a food service distributor (Taylor Freezer) specializing in selling soft-serve, milkshake, frozen cocktail, hard batch ice cream machines to most of the major national food chain accounts.

Six years ago, Lynn's Mom who just turned eight-five last month ;) moved from West Virginia to Georgia to live with her. Lynn states, "It has been trying at times but a blessing I thank the Lord for everyday. My very first scrapbook was started when I was in the first grade. Needless to say, scrapping has come a long way since then. I started scrapping again about three years ago.

I've always loved taking pictures and had a lot stored in boxes. One day I finally decided it was time to organize them, went shopping for albums, turned down the scrapbook aisle; and my life was changed. I enjoy working with my hands and love it when a page comes together. Some of my favorite colors are: earth tones, browns and greens, although blue is a big favorite. I use a lot of torn paper, metals, and buttons – the different shapes like flowers - and I'm really getting into inking.

Lynn's philosophy on scrapbooking runs parallel to our's here at the Shaker Box. She explains her views on scrapbooking as, "Some of us see scrapping as preserving the past and present for the future, others as an art form, and others as both. I believe there really is no right or wrong way to scrap your pictures, your memories, your life, as long as you enjoy doing so for you and your family. One important thing -- do not forget to get in front of the camera, after all, your family and friends and future generations will want to know about you also."

We are excited Lynn chose to be a part of The Shaker Box Design Team and I'm sure with her great sense of humor she will be very entertaining as we dive into educating our creativity!
